LiveBlock Auctions International (LAI) was formed in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1999 by Mr. Barry White under the name Live Global Bid (LGB). The aim of LGB was to become the leading provider of Live-Auction software for auction houses throughout North America. The technology was created to allow auction houses the ability to broadcast their auctions through simultaneous audio and video feeds to all participating Internet users in any location.
Over the years a relationship and partnership was developed with ADESA (a global leader in vehicle remarketing). In 2008 ADESA acquired LGB, then renamed the company to LiveBlock Auctions International. Jim Hallett, President and CEO of ADESA, stated, “LAI has been instrumental in helping ADESA develop and deploy our LiveBlock product...”
